Inter Faith Calendar

      As part of its commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive community, CMU developed the "Accommodation of Religious Obligations" policy. The list of holidays provided below is intended only as a guide. Please note that this list is not an all inclusive one and there may be religious holidays observed by a student, faculty or staff member which are not on this list.  Please also note that many of the holydays on this list are based on the lunar calendar and so the date in the solar or Western calendar changes from year to year. This list was compiled in consultation with practitioners of the religions listed below. We also reviewed the list of students organizations, the form used by incoming students to indicate their religious preferences (if they so choose), and the list of countries represented by the international students at CMU to make sure that we did not leave out a religion practiced on campus.  In spite of this, we may well have left off some important holidays; please contact the Office for Institutional Diversity at 989-774-3700 if you feel that this is the case.
